Men's Long Jump Updates - 2012 London Olympic Games

Men's Long Jump Finalist Name, Defending Olympic Champ OUT!

Reigning Olypmic Champ Irving Saladino fouled three jumps and recieved no mark in the prelims of the men's Long Jump in London. Saladino seemed unstoppable at Championship events he competed at between 2006 and 2008 but since then things have gone much different. Although every year ends the season with one of the top marks in the world (been ranked in top 6 ever year since 2005, with the exception of 2012), the championship performances have not followed. This year, his mark of 8.16 meters is Saladino's lowest mark since 2004. With Saladino out and Dwight Phillips of the USA not at the Games, we'll be looking for a new star to arrive.
