English Gardner Wins Deepest 100 Of All Time
On her college home track, English Gardner edged out Tianna Bartoletta and Tori Bowie in 10.74 seconds to clinch an Olympic berth in the 100 meters. Bartoletta and Bowie both went 10.78. With the wind legal at one meter per second on the nose, it was the best wind-legal 100m in the history of the planet:

Morolake Akinosun and Jenna Prandini both broke 11 seconds in fourth and fifth but failed to crack the team. They'll be in the Rio relay pool.

Gardner's time makes her the second fastest woman in the world this year, while Bartolette and Bowie are now tied for third.
