Texas A&M Breaks 4x400m Collegiate Record

In an impressive early season display of fitness, the Texas A&M quartet of Fred Kerley, Richard Rose, Devin Dixon, and Mylik Kerley smashed the 4x400m collegiate record with a winning time of 3:02.52.

In an impressive early season display of fitness, the Texas A&M quartet of Fred Kerley, Richard Rose, Devin Dixon, and Mylik Kerley smashed the 4x400m collegiate record with a winning time of 3:02.52 Saturday at the Razorback Challenge. The relay team broke the previous record of 3:02.86 set by the 2015 Aggies team. 


The Aggies were led off by Fred Kerley who split 44.96. He handed off to Richard Rose who ran 46.01 before handing to baton to Dixon. Dixon split 46.25 and gave the baton to anchor leg Mylik Kerley. Kerley notched a 45.30 to close out the victory and the record. 

According to Track and Field News's all-time world indoor list, Texas A&M's performance is No. 4 behind Team USA's Feb. 2006, March 2014, and March 2016 performances. The No. 1 all-time indoor mark is 3:01.96.
