For the second year in a row, three-time NCAA champion Karissa Schweizer dominated the SEC cross country championships. The Missouri senior earned her second individual crown on Friday morning in Athens, Georgia.
Schweizer pulled away from the top pack early on at UGA Equestrian Center to win the conference title in 19:36, an impressive 31 seconds faster than runner-up Taylor Werner of Arkansas.
The performance appeared effortless for Schweizer, who executed a breakthrough season last year when she won the SEC, Midwest region, and NCAA championship crowns.
The women's team race was dominated by the No. 6 Arkansas Razorbacks, who scored 35 points to beat runner-up No. 18 Georgia, who earned 88 points. Ole Miss followed for third with 103 points, and Missouri finished fourth with 164.

Despite a hard-charging individual trio from Alabama in the men's race, No. 11 Arkansas secured another team sweep of both the men's and women's races. The performance marks the fifth year in a row that Arkansas has swept both men's and women's SEC titles.
Up front, Alabama's Vincent Kiprop, Gilbert Kigen, and Alfred Chelanga claimed the first three finishes with just eight seconds separating race-winner Kiprop from his teammate Chelanga, who finished third.
Despite the top three sweep, Alabama's team was no match for the Razorbacks who packed five men within the top 13 spots. Led by a fourth-place finish from Alex George, Arkansas scored 41 points to beat Alabama's 81.
