Women's Mile, Final - Karisa Nelson of Samford Upsets Purrier, Edwards FTW!
In one of the biggest upsets of the weekend, Samford’s Karisa Nelson unleashed a killer kick to win her first NCAA indoor title in the mile. Nelson beat All American Elinor Purrier with a winning time of 4:31.24, less than a second ahead of Purrier. Nelson’s performance is a four-second improvement on her previous personal best.
