Why: Taleah Casurra of Impact Athletics is the top seed in all three events with seed times of 2:26.31, 5:09.58 and 11:31.68. She established herself at the national level last summer, when she won the 10-year-old age group 1500m in 5:03.33 -- that converts to 5:25 for 1600m!-- and placed third in the 800m (2:28). Can she win all three events at nationals this summer? Region 8 will be her first true test.

Why: Adaejah Hodge of E-1 Track Club enters with a seed time of 13.69, a mark that would have placed second at nationals last summer. She is the Georgia 10-year-old state champion in both the 100m and 200m.
When: 200m Semifinals on Sunday, 3:15 p.m. ET; 100m Semifinals on Saturday, 9:00 a.m. ET; 100m Final on Sunday, 9:00 a.m. ET; 200m Final on Sunday, 1:30 p.m. ET
Why: Robinson placed third at nationals last year in 13.08 (-1.5) and sixth in the 200m (27.10 -2.6). Bowe was entered in both events but did not start. Now members of the 12-year-old age group, Robinson and Bowe look prepped for an epic showdown at the region meet. Robinson is seededslightly ahead in the 100m, 12.70 to 12.83, while Bowe has the edge in the 200m, 26.24 to 26.68.
