Duncan Hamilton Joins Bowerman Track Club
Duncan Hamilton, who finished second on two occasions at the NCAA Championships in the steeplechase, has joined the Bowerman Track Club.
Duncan Hamilton, the second-fastest steeplechaser in NCAA history, has joined the Bowerman Track Club.
Hamilton ran 8:16.23 this season for Montana State, only Henry Rono ran faster during the 1978 season.
According to joint posts on Instagram, former Montana State athlete Duncan Hamilton has turned pro with Nike’s Bowerman Track Club.

Hamilton finished second at the NCAA Outdoor Championships to Kenneth Rooks of BYU in a battle of two of the best collegiate steeplers of all-time. Hamilton placed second at the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Championships and fifth in 2021.
Based on time, Hamilton is the top seed in the men’s steeplechase at this week’s USATF Outdoor Championships.
Last week, Charles Hicks of Stanford announced that he was joining the Bowerman Track Club. Hicks won the 2022 NCAA Cross Country Championships.
The Bowerman Track Club has a rich tradition in the steeplechase, including global medalists Evan Jager and Courtney Frerichs who are both still on the roster.
The first round of the men’s steeplechase takes place on Thursday evening.
