2023 USATF Outdoor Championships Results: Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone Shines
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone made USA Track and Field Outdoor Championship history on Saturday as she won the 400m. Here are the USATF results on Day 3.
The penultimate day of the 2023 USATF Outdoor Track and Field Championships included one of the premier showdowns in track as star Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and up-and-coming star Britton Wilson competed in the women's 400 m at Heyward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
McLaughlin-Levrone shined as she smashed her personal best and nearly broke the American record with a time of 48.74.

The women's 400m was one of several finals on Saturday as the meet comes to a close on Sunday. A handful of events had finals on Saturday, including the men's 400m. The day started early with men's and women's 20K racewalk event in the morning. Maria Michta-Coffey won day's first national championship in the women's 20K, while Nick Christie won the men's.

She’s now the third U.S. woman in history to run under 49 seconds with her U.S. Championship in the 400m on Saturday in 48.74 seconds.

The USA Outdoor Track and Field Championship returned to Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon for the third year in a row and athletes flocked to the pacific northwest in hopes of winning a championship and qualifying for Team USA and for the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary in August.
