USTFCCCA: Movers And Shakers In Week 4 Of The NCAA Division I XC Rankings
The California Baptist University men shot into the top five after a fourth-place finish at Nuttycombe.
While the top three men's programs are locked into the first three spots in the updated NCAA Division I cross country rankings, pretty much every other program was a mover and shaker over Week 4 of the installment, released on Tuesday by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Northern Arizona (328), Oklahoma State (319) and BYU (210) remain firmly in control of the top three spots in the national rankings following the Nuttycombe Wisconsin and Pre-National Invitationals on Friday and Saturday.
NAU walked away with the team title at Nuttycombe, while the BYU men were second. Oklahoma State were off. The Syracuse men, meanwhile, moved up to No. 4 after finishing third at Nuttycombe.
Arkanas, the winners of Pre-Nats, moved up 13 spots to No. 8, while California Baptist University, last ranked at 14, moved up to No. 6 in the country following its fourth-place finish at Nuttycombe.
