NCAA Cross Country Championships 2023 Results: Parker Valby Cruises

Florida runner Parker Valby won the NCAA Cross Country Championship 2023 race. Defending champion Katelyn Touhy finished fifth.

Florida runner Parker Valby won the 2023 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championship women’s race on Nov. 18 and Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, Virginia.  

Valby, the South Region champion, had a time of 18 minutes and 55.2 seconds to beat Doris Lemngole by more than 10 seconds. The 2022 runner-up cruised by the field, at one point leading by nearly 20 seconds. Defending champion Katelyn Tuohy, the Southeast region champion finished fifth with a time of 19:23. 

While Tuohy didn't win the individual championship, her team, N.C. State, won the team championship, edging out Northern Arizona. This is N.C. State's third NCAA Championship in a row.

Next year’s national championship meet is Nov. 23 with Wisconsin hosting. Missouri will host the national championship in 2025 on Nov. 22.
