In a close race, Pomona-Pitzer Cross Country won the Division III Cross Country team championship.

Pomona-Pitzer Cross Country Wins NCAA Division 3 XC Championship

The NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships 2023 men's race came down to one point as Pomona-Pitzer barely finished ahead of Wisconsin La Crosse, 158 to 159, as Southern California team won its third national championship. 

Lucas Florsheim finished ninth and Derek Fearon 10th as Sagehens took the championship. 

There were tense moments, though, for the top two teams as officials figured out the team points before Pomona-Pitzer claimed the championship. 

North Central (Ill.) finished third, 10 points back of the Wisconsin-Lacrosse.
