Grand Valley State University welcomes track and field teams to its annual holiday track meet this week for the GVSU Holiday Open.

The meet will be on the Allendale, Michigan campus at the 192 Field House. 

The meet is the second of the indoor track season for the host Lakers who are hoping for another successful season in the GLIAC at the NCAA Division II level.

How To Watch The GVSU Holiday Open Track And Field Meet 

The GVSU Holiday Open Track and Field meet is streaming on FloTrack and the FloSports app. Replays and highlights of the event will be available on both platforms.

GVSU Holiday Open Track And Field Meet Schedule 

The meet is Friday Dec. 8. Here’s the schedule. 

1 p.m. Running Events

  • 5000m (W then M) If more than one heat of each gender of the 5k, they will run here
  • 3000m (W then M) If more than one heat of each gender of the 3k, they will run here

3 p.m. Field Events

  • Men’s High Jump 1st 
  • Women’s High Jump 2nd
  • Women’s 20lb Weight 1st 
  • Men’s 35lb Weight 2nd (To follow Women) in CAGE
  • Men’s Shot Put 1st 
  • Women’s Shot Put 2nd (To follow Men) on WOOD RING
  • Men’s Long Jump 1ST 
  • Men’s Triple Jump to follow (Men on East pit, 3 Jumps and Finals)
  • Women’s Long Jump 1st 
  • Women’s Triple Jump to follow (Women on West pit, 3 Jumps and Finals)
  • Women’s Pole Vault 1st (Men’s Pole Vault to follow) *Two pits if necessary

3 p.m. Running Events

  • 60m Hurdle Prelims (W then M) 
  • 60m Dash Prelims (W then M) Mile (W then M)
  • 60m Hurdle Finals (M then W) 
  • 60m Dash Finals (M then W) 
  • 400m (W then M) 
  • 800m (W then M) 
  • 200m (W then M) 
  • 3000m INVITE (W then M) 
  • 4x400m Relay (W then M) 
  • 5000m INVITE (W then M)
