Jaydon Hibbert arrived at the University of Arkansas from one of Jamaica's premier high school programs, Kingston College, as a prized jumps record.

It didn't take long for the 18-year-old to change the NCAA.

Not only did Hibbert win two straight indoor and outdoor national championships in the triple jump over the 2023 year, but he also claimed two straight NCAA records with marks of 17.54 meters (57 feet, 6.5 inches) and 17.87 meters (58-7.5), shattering records that had stood for over 35 years.

Freshman just don't do that.

For his efforts, Hibbert was rewarded.

On Thursday in Aurora, Colorado, the Jamaican was named the 2023 Men's Bowerman winner inside the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, becoming the first Razorback since Jarrion Lawson in 2016 to win the honor.

What's more is that he only needed 12 jumps to accomplish those very feats. Both of his career best marks were also new World U20 records.
