Christian Miller Breaks U20 American 100m Record In 9.93
In Clermont, Florida, the 17-year-old Georgia recruit breaks the U20 American record and moves up to No. 3 on the all-time U20 list.
If you thought Christian Miller's season couldn't have been better than his breakout campaign in 2023, you're wrong.
The 17-year-old from Creekside (FL) improved on his 10.08 100m personal best, which he ran last July to win the USATF U20 Championships, with a 9.93 (+1.6) effort at the Pure Athletics Spring Invitational in Clermont, Florida to break the American U20 record in the 100m.
Even though it's only April, Miller's performance is the fastest time in the world this year.
The Georgia recruit not only broke a U20 American record, but also moved up to No. 3 on the U20 all-time list behind Surinam's Issam Asinga, who set the U20 record of 9.89 last July, and Botswanta's Letsile Tebogo, who clocked 9.91 in 2022.
The previous American U20 record was set by Trayvon Bromell in June 2014 when he went 9.97 (+1.8).
