Arkansas Women Dominate 400m At SECs, Boosted By Pryce, Brown And Anning
Scoring 28 points across four individuals in the 400m at the SEC Outdoor Championships, Arkansas notched 25-percent of its total tally in the event alone.
The Arkansas women completely dominated the 400m final at the SEC Outdoor Championships on Saturday.
The Razorbacks swept the top three spots, posted three times 50 seconds and scored 28 points across the event.
What's more?
Those three women -- Nickisha Pryce, Kaylyn Brown and Amber Anning -- also moved up the all-time NCAA list, too, posting the third-, fourth- and fifth-best performances in collegiate history.

Pryce posted the third-fastest time in NCAA history as she was victorious in the event with a 49.32 personal best. The Arkansas junior's performance nearly missed the Jamaican record of 49.30 by Lorraine Fenton back in 2002.
In the meantime, Pryce will occupy the Jamaican record books alongside Sherika Williams, both now at the No. 2 spot.
Pryce followed former teammate Britton Wilson's collegiate record of 49.13, which was set back at last year's SEC Outdoor Championships at LSU's Bernie Moore Track Stadium and former Texas Longhorn Rhasidat Adeleke, who clocked 49.20 at last year's NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on her home turf.
Pryce currently is the second-fastest woman in the world behind Femke Bol's 49.17 from March.
The Arkansas freshman Brown became the No. 4 collegian in history with her 49.47 mark -- and it's a time that also makes her the fastest American at that age ever.
Anning, meanwhile, moved up to NCAA No. 5 and No. 3 on the British all-time list as she crossed the finish line in 49.51. Rosey Effiong was fifth with a 50.75, adding another four points to the team tally and 28 in all for the 400m.
Arkansas now owns eight of the top 10 spots ever recorded in the 400m between Wilson, Pryce, Brown and Anning.
Also in the final was Georgia's Aaliyah Butler, who was fourth and ran 49.79, which was good for No. 8 all-time.
As dominant as that performance was, Arkansas couldn't outlast LSU. The Razorbacks finished as the runner-ups at SECs with 110 points, with LSU scoring 126.
My goodness, @RazorbackTF!
