Jaida Ross broke the Collegiate shot put record in the 2024 NCAA Track and Field West regionals in Fayetteville, AR.

Jaida Ross broke her own NCAA Track and Field record after throwing 20.01m in the shot put at the 2024 NCAA West Track and Field Regionals. Ross will now prepare to compete in the upcoming NCAA Track and Field Championships in June.

No the question is: Will she break her collegiate record twice and set a new one?  

Ross represents the University of Oregon and she held the previous record for longest throw in  collegiate shot put. She did not only break the record, she also joined history as one of five women to throw over 20 meters in the world in 2024. She is also  just the seventh woman to throw over 20 meters in American history. She is also the eighth person to throw beyond 19 meters in 2024.
