He finished 830 points ahead of Mississippi State sophomore Peyton Bair (8,131) -- who reached 8,000 points for the first time in his career -- and was more than 900 points ahead of Miami (Florida) sophomore Edgar Campre (8,042).
Neugebauer’s score topped the 8,836 points he collected on the way to the national championship in 2023.
