The U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials are almost here.

One of the most important meets on the calendars for the 2024 season will determine the U.S. team heading into the Paris Olympic Games in August.

So, the stakes couldn't be higher.

What's different in 2024 may be representation from the high school ranks. A total of nine high school athletes have qualified and declared for their respective events heading into the Trials, including several events where prep athletes weren't typically present before.

In events ranking from the men's high jump to the women's 5,000 meters, the country's most talented youngsters are readying for an important moment in their careers.

Could any make the team?

That's certainly possible, too, with the likes of Christian Miller in the 100m, JaiCeonna Gero-Holt in the high jump and Quincy Wilson in the 400m.

Those four athletes all hold reasonable opportunities in their events to make teams, whether individually or within relay teams.
