Parker Stokes Added To The Brooks Beasts, Along With Two More NIL Deals
The Brooks Beasts continued their roster build on Thursday, adding NCAA 3K steeplechase champion Parker Stokes to the corps.
The Brooks Beasts are in busy season.
The professional training group based out of Seattle, Washington added one more member to its lineup on Thursday, signing Georgetown graduate student Parker Stokes, the reigning NCAA champion in the 3K steeplechase, to a contract.
The group also added two more collegians to its NIL roster, inking deals with Texas A&M middle-distance runner Sam Whitmarsh, along with Washington distance runner Chloe Foerster.
The moves, combined with the recent additions of Luke Houser and Teagan Schein-Becker, give depth to the team's roster.
Stokes is a talented middle-distance runners with personal bests times of 3:40.75 for 1,500m, 3:57.31 for the mile and 8:23.92 over the 3,000 meter distance.
His 3K steeplechase best of 8:18.88, which he pocketed in 2022 at NCAAs -- netting him a third-place finish -- is 10th-best all-time in the college ranks and ranks him fifth on the all-time leaderboard.
He competed last Friday in the first round of the men's 3K steeplechase at the U.S. Olympic Trials.
"I'm so unbelievably humbled and pumped to run on the next level with the Brooks Beasts," Stokes said. "Their longstanding status of creating world-class runners is unmatched."

This Aggie Nets NIL Deal With Brooks
The Beasts already have a famed former Texas A&M University athlete on their roster.
That's Brandon Miller.
On Thursday, they signed current Aggie Sam Whitmarsh to a Name, Image and Likeness deal, harnessing the talent of this year's NCAA runner-up at 800 meters.
While the Texas native came up just short in the collegiate final, he won an SEC Outdoor title and led his squad to a Penn Relays wheel in the Championship of America 4x800.
Whitmarsh also authored two career best performances two weeks apart, registering times of 1:44.46 in the 800m and 3:40.74 in the 1,500m over the end of March and the beginning of April. He will compete in the first round of the men's 800m on Thursday at the U.S. Olympic Trials.
"Anyone who has seen him compete on the track knows what an incredible athlete he is and the energy he brings to racing, but he is just as inspiring with his personality and passion off the track," said Garrett Heath, Brooks' Head of Sports Marketing.

While Chloe Foerster is just a sophomore, she's a proven competitor and teammate.
The Washington middle-distance talent signed an NIL with Brooks on Thursday.
She claimed the last ever PAC-12 Championship in the women's 1,500m in May and netted career-best outcomes of 2:03.34 in the 800m and 4:07.96 in the 1,500m over the calendar year.
Foerster also anchored the Washington women to a national record in the Championship of America 4x800 at the Penn Relays in April, clocking an anchor split of 2:02.17.
