Quincy Wilson Has Been Added To The U.S. Olympic Relay Pool
The fate of Quincy Wilson was learned late on Sunday night. The 16-year-old has accepted selection into the U.S. relay pool.
On Sunday, Quincy Wilson received the phone call he had been waiting for.
According to sources, FloTrack received confirmation that Wilson, the 16-year-old phenom from Maryland, accepted his selection into the U.S. relay pool after his performance at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon.
The final team roster for Team U.S. will not become official until July 8.
However, athletes have begun hearing from officials with USATF. Phone calls were made following the final day of action at the Trials on June 30.

Wilson's performance at the Trials was one for the books. The high schooler reached the men's 400 meter final, clocking a sixth-place finish in 44.94 seconds. He ran a opening round time of 44.66 to begin the event and followed by lowering that mark to 44.59 in the semifinals.
Wilson, a rising Bullis School junior, broke a World U18 record and national high school record with his first two performances. The previous high school record of 44.69, last accomplished by Darrell Robinson in 1982, had stood for 42 years.
The U.S. men's team will have to fill out its roster for the mixed relay and the men's 4x400 teams.
