Josh Hoey, Grace Stark And Favour Ofili Stand Out At Holloway Pro Classic
After a weather delay kicked off the 2024 Holloway Pro Classic, Josh Hoey, Grace Stark and Favour Ofili were just a few of the stars that picked up wins.
After thunderstorms caused early delays at the Holloway Pro Classic on Friday, things subsided and athletes were finally given a chance to compete during the final installment of the PUMA American Track League series at James G. Pressly Stadium in Gainesville, Florida.
Here are three of the top performances from the night's action.

Josh Hoey Outduels Clayton Murphy Over 800m
Last month at the U.S. Olympic Trials, Josh Hoey was the first man left off of the American 800m team headed to Paris after finishing fourth in 1:44.12.
But Hoey, 24, has been on a revenge tour of sorts since, traveling to Europe, where he broke 1:44 for the first time on July 13, clocking 1:43.8 at the Moore-Guldensporen Meeting in Belgum.
The Pennsylvania native didn't miss a beat after the gun went off, coming through 400m in 50.39 -- the fastest amongst the field. Over the next 400m, Hoey held on for the win, stopping the clock in 1:44.22.
Clayton Murphy, a 2016 Olympic bronze medalist, was second in 1:45.01.
Hoey's win was good enough for his third sub-1:45 performance this season and his third in four races.
Grace Starks Holds On For 100mH Win Over Tobi Amusan And Masai Russell
Grace Stark, Tobi Amusan and Masai Russell looked comfortable on Friday in the prelims, as they qualified for the two-section race by going 12.42, 12,49 and 12.51 in the first round.
The highly-anticipated final saw the wind shift from a light tailwind to an annoying headwind, as Stark led that same trio to a 1-2-3 finish.
It was Stark who came out on top in the final in 12.58, while Amusan and Russell were close behind in 12.60 and 12.66, respectively.
All three women will likely meet again in just a few weeks at the Paris Olympics. This time, though, medals will be on the line.
Favour Ofili Edges Out Candace Hill In 100m
During her time in Baton Rouge competing for Louisiana State University, Favour Ofili garnered quite the name for herself, tallying 13 All-American honors across the indoor and outdoor season.
In the midst of her first Olympic campaign as a professional, she took her talents to Florida for a tune-up ahead of Paris.
Ofili battled with American Candace Hill in a one-head final as the pair both crossed in a wind-legal 11.07.
Ofili out-leaned Hill at the line, needing just a few decimals to do so.
Ofili came back later in the meet to also win the 200m over Hill and Adaejah Hodge, with the trio posting times of 22.36, 22.62 and 22.66. They were the only three women under 23 seconds.
Christian Taylor Wraps Up Decorated Triple Jump Career
In a career that saw Christian Taylor win a pair of Olympic gold medals, four world titles and jump the No. 2 mark in world history (18.21m), legend Christian Taylor decided on one last meet before calling it quits.
It was on Friday at the Holloway Pro Classic.
The 34-year-old American record-holder charged down the runway one last time, securing marks of 15.66m, 15.95m and 16.14m. His sixth and final was his best of the day, netting him a fifth-place finish.
