A day before the Paris Olympics Track and Field meet began, one of the sport's most anticipated events, the 100-meter dash, was thrown for a loop on the women's side. 

Jamaican sprinter Shericka Jackson, one of the favorites in the event, withdrew from the 100m race. That leaves the door wide open for U.S. track star Sha'Carri Richardson to become the prohibitive favorite in the race, if she wasn't already in the eyes of many track fans. 

The 100m dash is one of the most watched events of the Olympics and will be one of the featured segments during the first weekend of track and field action at Stade de France in Paris. 

Here's when the men's and women's 100m dash races will happen.

  • 3:20 p.m.: Women's 100m Final, Stade de France
