It's been a fruitful first few days of the Paris Olympics at Stade de France, with athletes from across the world showcasing their abilities on the biggest stage. 

There have been gold-medal winning moments, repechage rounds and everything in between. There have been many successes. There have also been various setbacks.

Each story has had its own voice, and as athletes have made their way off the track and through the mixed zone, they've given insight into their performances overall. 

FloTrack’s Bryan Deibel is on the ground in Paris speaking with the athletes after every event. Below is a compilation of what they've said following their performances. 

Noah Lyles On Winning The Olympic Title, And Knowing He Was Ready For It:

"I knew once the year started that this was not 2021. I knew every step of the way, it was not 2021. Winning U.S. Championships, going to Jamaica, getting beat by Oblique (Seville) and still saying I ran (9.)85. I'm still constantly moving forward and moving forward and moving forward."

Fred Kerley On His Bronze, And Believing In His Work:

"We, at the end of the day, we got to be patient with everything we do."

After Finishing Seventh In The 100m Final, Kenny Bednarek Says He Was Disappointed:

"I just didn't live up to my expectations. I'm just pissed about it. I mean, I should have been up there, I should have won. I mean, I've done all the practice that says I can do it. I didn't put the race together. So it was a lesson learned."

Jakob Ingebrigtsen Following His Semifinal Performance:

"I mean, racing is what you want it to be. I thrive in the competitive scene, that's why I do this. Maybe there's a difference among us."

American 1,500m Star Cole Hocker Says He's Ready For The Final:

"That was the very last bit of confidence I needed heading into the final. I've done everything else right up until this point. And it's just been checking boxes off one at a time since early season through USAs, to the first two rounds here and now. I'm back right now where I should be, in the Olympic final and for the second time, I just have all the confidence in the world."

After Falling Short In The 800m Semifinal, Nia Akins Says It Wasn't Her Time Yet:

"I think mentally I was way more prepared for this than worlds last year. Having done worlds last year, it helped me just kind of toe the line with a little more peace. And I think I reached a point in my faith, well, it's not God's will, it's not God's will and just unfortunately the luck of the draw. So if he doesn't want it for me, I don't want it for me, either."

Juliette Whittaker Says Her Final Kick Came From The Heart:

"But that last 100m I feel like I really just leaned into kind of all the support and love that i've been feeling just -- I have a lot of family and friends that were able to make it here to Paris. So I have a lot of people in the stands, but also just the tens and thousands of people, you know, at home kind of cheering for me. So I just kind of tried to lean into that and kind of believe in myself as much as all of them kind of believe in me."

Despite Not Reaching The 100m Final, Louie Hinchliffe Is Optimistic About The Future:

"I think LA is a long way away. There are a lot of World Championships between now and then. So yeah, definitely next year, I'll be right back."

2012 Olympic Champion Kirani James Says, Whatever The Result, He Thinks The 400m Is In Good Hands:

"To see the younger guys coming up, and I can only be proud of them, to see the work that they do and the performances that they put in. I think my event is in good hands, which means ultimately the sport is in good hands."

Christopher Morales-Williams On His Mentality Here In Paris:

"Now, I just out there and go out there and have fun. Nothing to lose, right? If I lose, I just go back to school and continue on with my life. But these guys? These guys, these guys are like 30 years old. They got like cars and kids. No, that's the thing. I don't even own a car, I don't have to pay for gas. So it's like, what am I even needing to worry about? Spending money on pencils and like my scientific calculators? That's it."

Grant Holloway Has His Eyes On The Prize:

"The biggest thing is, let's execute this time and not really worry about the past. Looking forward to just continue to show the great form I'm in and you know, all roads going to lead to the final."

Jasmine Jones Has Kept Things In Check, But Also Wants To Surprise Herself:

"No pressure really to do anything outstanding, but obviously for myself I want to, I would love to medal and make a final, all the above."

Quincy Hall Says He's Not Underestimating Anyone:

"Everybody. Because, like I said, on any given day, anybody can run. I don't think Matthew Hunts is my biggest, I don't think Kirani James is my biggest because I feel like everybody is because every dog has its day."

Freddie Crittenden Explains His 110mH First Round:

"The plan was to come here, get through the round. As long as I didn't get disqualified or hit any hurdles. The idea was that I would get through and I have would have another opportunity to run in the repechage rounds."

Courtney Wayment Has An Understanding Of What She Wants To Take Away From Paris:

"I think I've kind of let go of expectations a lot. I'm here to not put a cap or a ceiling on what I am and not put any expectations. I want to give myself the best chance and I want to make myself proud, whatever that looks like."

When Are The Paris 2024 Olympic Games?

The Olympics begin on July 26 and end on August 11. The track and field events will began on Aug. 1.
