The Paris Olympics represent athletic excellence on a global stage. 

But it's not only for men and women in their 20s, 30s or even 40s. 

Every year, the Olympics features some of the world's brightest up-and-comers in the sport of track and field. In 2021, Erriyon Knighton featured for the United States as a 17-year-old, walking away with a fourth-place finish in the 200m. 

In 2016, the likes of Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, who was then 17, and Vashti Cunningham, who was 18, competed at the Rio Olympics.

The globe's top teenagers always occupy a space here at the Olympics. Below are this year's top teenagers featuring for nation's across the world at the Paris Olympics.

Quincy Wilson, United States

Just 16 years old, the sprinter residing in Maryland led off the United States' men's 4x400 team on Friday, splitting a time of 47.30 seconds as the Americans qualified for the final on Saturday. Wilson ran a career best open 400 meter time of 44.20 seconds at the Holloway Pro Classic in July, lowering his own World U18 record and national high school record.

Phoebe Gill, Great Britain

The 17-year-old from St. Albans, England accounted herself well at the Paris Olympics, reaching the semifinals of the women's 800m. The teenager was part of a dangerous unit of half-milers from Great Britain, including eventual gold medalist Keely Hodgkinson. Gill ran a best of 1:58.47 in the semifinal.

Adaejah Hodge, British Virgin Islands

One of the country's brightest high school recruits and a Florida resident, Hodge reached the semifinal round of the women's 200m, clocking a best of 22.70 over that round to finish eighth in her section. The Montverde Academy graduate and Georgia signee also competed at the World Championships last year as a 17-year-old.

Sole and Sanaa Frederick, Trinidad & Tobago

The 18-year-old identical sisters ran as part of their nation's women's 4x100 team on Thursday, contributing to the team's eighth-place finish in the first heat in 43.99. The Frederick sisters are recent graduates of Druid Hills High School in Georgia and are signees of the University of Georgia. 

Jaden Marchan, Trinidad & Tobago

The 18-year-old Marchan stepped up to the plate on Friday to contribute to his country's men's 4x400, of which Trinidad & Tobago placed eighth-overall in the first heat. Marchan ran a split ofd 45.63 seconds. He's headed to Georgetown in the fall. 

Isabel Van Den Berg, Netherlands

The 19-year-old Dutchwoman featured on her country's 4x100 team on Thursday, helping the squad to a finish of 42.64 seconds. She ran a top time of 11.53 for 100m this season.

Alana Reid, Jamaica

The 19-year-old was on her country's 4x100 on Thursday, which pushed through to the final with a time of 42.35. Reid is an accomplished U20 runner who finished sixth in the 100m at the Jamaican championships and secured a best of 11.09 this season at the distance.

Torrie Lewis, Australia

The 19-year-old lined up for the Kiwi women in the 4x100 on Thursday and contributed to the team's fourth-place finish in the heats in 42.75. She's a 200m runner by trade, having won an Oceania title in June in 23.14. She won a repechage round in the 200m on Aug. 5 and finished her Olympic journey in the 200m with a top time of 22.89 in the first round.

Anastazja KuÅ›, Poland

The 17-year-old ran lead-off for the Polish women's 4x400 on Friday, helping the team to a sixth-place finish in the heats. KuÅ› was a European U18 champion in the 400m in July with a time of 51.89 for 400m.

Mariandree Chacón, Guatemala

The 19-year-old did well to qualify for the first round of action in the 100m, hitting 11.90 on the clock during the early round featuring nation's with less representation. In the first round, she followed with a time of 12.06 secondsl

Sembo Almayew, Ethiopia

The 19-year-old reached the final of the women's 3,000m steeplechase, where she finished fifth overall with a time of 9:00.83, clearly signaling a bright future in the event. 

Nora Lindahl, Sweden

The 19-year-old clocked times of 23.33 and 23.51 in the women's 200m, ending her journey in the repechage rounds.

Petr Meindlschmid, Czech Republic

The 18-year-old from Europe, one of his country's top long jumpers, competed in the first round of the men's long jump in Paris. He marked a final attempt of 6.97m and finished 16th overall, missing the final. 

Mattia Furlani, Italy

The 19-year-old is a future star in the long jump. After navigating the round with a top mark of 8.01m in the discipline, he ended up on the podium with a third-place finish with a mark of 8.34m. Furlani was the runner-up at the European Championships in the long jump in July.

Peyton Craig, Australia

The 19-year-old put forth an admirable effort in the 800m at the Olympic Games, clocking a time of 1:45.81 in his opening round to book his ticket to the semifinal before a follow-up of 1:44.11 netted him a sixth-place finish, outside the qualifying position to reach the final.

Thi Nhi Yen Tran, Vietnam

The 19-year-old won her qualifying heat in the women's 100m in 11.81 seconds and followed with a first round time of 11.79, netting her a seventh-place finish in her heat.

Jakub Dudycha, Czech Republic

The 18-year-old with an 800m PR of 1:44.82 opened his Olympic account with a first round time of 1:45.62 before following in 1:49.94 over the repechage round.
