With a few powerhouse programs giving their stars some low-stakes racing, there was some movement in the FloTrack College XC Rankings Presented by HOKA.

After winning her first NCAA title in the 3000m steeplechase in June, Alabama standout Doris Lemngole is next up following the graduation of NCAA legend Parker Valby.

Lemngole was runner-up at Panorama Farms a last November, and a dominant campaign on the track only solidifies her reasoning for being No. 1. The Crimson Tide's frontrunner will have a familiar face challenging her over the next few months, as former teammate Hilda Olemomoi is now a Florida Gator. Olemomoi was the only person not named Parker Valby to beat Lemngole during the season last year, doing so at Alabama's Crimson Classic.

Georgetown senior Chloe Scrimgeour, Washington's Amina Maatoug and Oregon's Silan Ayyildiz round out the top five ranked women, as they hope to lead their respective programs to a podium finish in Madison, WI.

Both Arkansas' Sydney Thorvaldson and Rosina Machu of Gonzaga retained their No. 4 and No. 5 spots, along with the Lumberjack pairing of Elise Stearns and Karrie Baloga who sit No. 8 and No. 9.

Utah's Annastasia Peters finished first at the UVU XC Invite, moving her past teammate Mckaylie Caesar for the No. 10 spot in the rankings.

After coming a single point away from a national title, the Northern Arizona women are gearing up for a title chase and the perfect send-off for Mike Smith.

Led by Stearns and Baloga, the 'Jacks have strong returners in Maggi Congdon and Ali Upshaw, as well as star-studded transfers including Alex Carlson and Alyson Churchill

The Washington Huskies and three-time defending champions North Carolina State didn't move from their spots at No. 2 and No. 3, but after starting the season ranked sixth, Diljeet Taylor's Cougars moved past Oregon and Tennessee after a dominant win at their Autumn Classic.

Oregon rounds out the top five after a nice showing at the OTC Pre's Trail Run.

Tennessee didn't move too far back, coming in this week at No. 6, while Utah, Notre Dame, Lipscomb and Stanford filled out the top 10 spots.

Stanford moved up from No. 13 this week after putting five women inside the top seven to win the San Francisco Invitational.

As we slowly get into the thick of the cross country season, don't be surprised if there was a lot of movement in our next edition.
