NCAA Announces Sites For Future Cross Country, Track & Field Championships
The NCAA announced on Wednesday sites for the 2026 and 2027 cross country championships, along with future track and field championship venues.
On Wednesday, the National Collegiate Athletic Association announced future championship sites across sports at the Division I, II and III levels, including cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field.
Following a bid process, the association made selections for the 2026 and 2027 NCAA Cross Country Championships, along with host sites for the 2027 and 2028 NCAA Indoor Championships and the 2027 and 2028 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
The NCAA also announced future regional championship sites for cross country, along with outdoor track & field regional venues and hosts for the Division I, II and III levels.

Where Will NCAA Division I Championships Take Place?
The NCAA released sites for the following championships to take place from 2026 through 2028 at the Division I level.
Cross Country:
2026 Division I Finals: Terre Haute, IN -- LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at Wabash Valley Family Sports Center (Host: Indiana State University)
2027 Division I Finals: Stillwater, OK -- Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course (Host: Oklahoma State University)
Indoor Track & Field:
2027 Division I Finals: Fayetteville, AR -- Randal Tyson Track Center (Host: University of Arkansas, Fayetteville)
2028 Division I Finals: Boston, MA -- The TRACK at new balance (Hosts: Boston College, University of Massachusetts Lowell and NB Development Group)
Outdoor Track & Field:
2028 Division I Finals: Eugene, OR -- Hayward Field (Host: University of Oregon)
* Note: The 2027 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championship was awarded to Hayward Field in a previous bidding process.

The following venues were selected by the NCAA for Division II Championships in cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field:

2026 Division II Finals (Division II Championships Festival): Lawrence, KS -- Rim Rock (Hosts: Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and Kansas City Sports Commission)
2027 Division II Finals: Huntsville, AL -- John Hunt Park – Cross Country Course (Hosts: University of Alabama in Huntsville and Huntsville Sports Commission)
Indoor Track & Field:
2027 Division II Finals: Birmingham, AL -- Birmingham CrossPlex (Hosts: University of Montevallo and Birmingham CrossPlex)
2028 Division II Finals: Spokane, WA -- The Podium (Hosts: Great Northwest Athletic Conference and Spokane Sports Commission)
Outdoor Track & Field:
2027 Division II Finals: Walnut, CA -- Hilmer Lodge Stadium (Host: California State Polytechnic University, Pomona)
2028 Division II Finals: Jacksonville, FL -- Hodges Stadium (Hosts: Edward Waters University and Visit Jacksonville)

The NCAA selected championship sites for Division III for upcoming years for cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field.

2026 Division III Finals: Northfield, MN -- Bill Huyck Championship Cross Country Course (Host: Carleton College)
2027 Division III Finals: Terre Haute, IN -- LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at Wabash Valley Family Sports Center (Host: Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology)
Indoor Track & Field:
2027 Division III Finals: Spokane, WA -- The Podium (Hosts: Whitworth University and Spokane Sports Commission)
2028 Division III Finals: Virginia Beach, VA -- Virginia Beach Sports Center (Host: Virginia Wesleyan University)
Outdoor Track & Field:
2027 Division III Finals: Geneva, OH -- SPIRE Institute (Hosts: University of Mount Union and Greater Cleveland Sports Commission)
2028 Division II Finals: Myrtle Beach, SC -- Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium (Hosts: Coastal Carolina University and Myrtle Beach Regional Sports Alliance)
