Sound Running has established the Cross Champs as one of the premier events of the elite cross country season. The event is held in conjunction with The Running Event, an international conference that brings running brands from around the world to Austin, TX.

On November 21, 2024, the fourth edition of Cross Champs will bring in Olympians and national champions from around the world to go head-to-head with bragging rights and fast times at stake.

A year ago, HOKA NAZ Elite swept both individual and team titles, with Katie Wasserman winning the women's race in 26:49 over adidas' Katie Izzo (26:51), and Adrian Wildschutt holding off UA Dark Sky's Edwin Kurgat, 22:07- 22:11.

Along with HOKA NAZ Elite, athletes from world-class clubs including the On Athletics Club, PUMA Elite, Brooks Beasts and Hanson-Brooks ODP have graced the 8k course at Camp Mabry during previous editions. The field for 2024 is already jam-packed with talent.

Just under a month out from this year's race, there are already eight teams committed along with a few individuals.

Here are the confirmed clubs and athletes that are set to compete at 2024 Cross Champs.

Teams

  • Hansons-Brooks ODP
  • UA Baltimore Distance
  • UA Dark Sky Distance
  • Minnesota Distance Elite
  • Run Elite Program
  • Railroad Athletics
  • Performance Elite Running Club
  • Bat City Elite

  • Savannah Shaw

Over the next few weeks, expect the professional field to continue growing and see even more high-caliber athletes join in on the action.

The pro races will also serve as the USATF TX Southern Championships for local teams and athletes

In addition to the pair of professional races, Sound Running is introducing the High School Club Nationals, a great racing opportunity for high school athletes around the country who are looking for another postseason race to put under their belt.

Another event in the slate of racing is the Indie 5k, a fun-run put on by The Running Event.

All events will stream LIVE on FloTrack.

Additional event information is available on Sound Running's website.
