The 2024 NCAA Division II cross country season is beginning to wrap up and teams are taking one step closer to the NCAA Championship as Division II regional Championships are scheduled for November 16.

There are eight NCAA Division II Regional Championships. Each region will send three automatic team qualifiers and two automatic individual qualifiers to the NCAA DII Cross Country National Championship

Where are the D2 Cross Country Regionals 2024?

Here are where all of the regionals are being held on Nov. 16.

• Atlantic (Host: Lock Haven University): Lock Haven, Pennsylvania | West Branch Cross Country Course
• Central (Missouri Southern State University): Joplin, Missouri | Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course
• East (Host: Roberts Wesleyan University): Rochester, New York | Roberts Wesleyan University
• Midwest (TBA)
• South (Host: University of Alabama Huntsville & Huntsville Sports Commission): Huntsville, Alabama | John Hunt Park
• South Central (Host: MSU Denver): Denver, Colorado | Washington Park
• Southeast (Host: Converse University & One Spartanburg): Spartanburg, South Carolina | Milliken Arboretum
• West (Host: Montana State Billings): Billings, Montana | Amend Park

How Do Teams, Runners Qualify For NCAA D2 Cross Country National Championship?

For men's and women's, the top three teams in each regional — there are eight in total — automatically qualify for the championships, which equates to 24 automatic qualifiers. 

The NCAA DII Cross Country Committee will then choose 10 at-large teams to fill out the 34 team field.

Individually,  the first two finishers who do not belong to an automatic qualifier or an at-large team automatically advance to the championships. All individuals who finish in the top five at the regional meet will also automatically advance.

The next eight individuals will be selected at-large.

When Is The NCAA D1 Cross Country Championships 2024; NCAA XC Championship Schedule

The Cross Country Championships are at 10:20 a.m. (women’s 6000m) and 11:10 a.m. (men’s 10000m) on Nov. 23. The Division II and Division III Championships will be held on the same day, though start times have not yet been determined.

Where Are The NCAA D2 Cross Country Championships 2024?

The NCAA Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Division II National Championships are at the Arcade Creek Cross Country Course in Sacramento, California.

Division I: Thomas Zimmer Championship Course in Verona, Wisconsin

Division II: Arcade Creek Cross Country Course in Sacramento, California

Division III: LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana.
