Miami To Host Second Event Of 2025 Grand Slam Track Season
Miami, Florida will host the second Slam of the 2025 Grand Slam Track season, the league announced on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Grand Slam Track League announced that Miami, Florida will host the second event, or "Slam," of the inaugural 2025 season.
The Miami Slam, set for May 2-4, 2025, will take place at Ansin Sports Complex in Miramar.
Miami joins Kingston, Jamaica and Los Angeles as three of the four Slam locations for the 2025 Grand Slam Track season. On Monday, the league announced that Kingston would serve as host for the first meet of the season held from April 4-6, 2025.

“South Florida knows how to host big events, and that’s exactly what we’re bringing with Grand Slam Track," said Michael Johnson, Grand Slam Track founder and Commissioner, in a statement. “This region has a real passion for sports, and I’m confident the energy here will make it a memorable experience for both the racers and the fans. We’re building something special, and Miami is going to be a huge part of that.”
Miami marks the second U.S. city to be selected as a Slam location, joining Los Angeles.
"We are thrilled to have been selected as one of the host cities for the inaugural season of the Grand Slam Track," said City of Miramar Mayor Wayne M. Messam. "This event will not only showcase our city's state-of-the-art facilities but also provide an opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship."
The fourth and final host city is expected to be announced by Grand Slam Track later this week.
Tickets for the Miami Slam will go on sale on Friday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. EST.
What Is Grand Slam Track?
Grand Slam Track, created by four-time Olympic gold medalist Johnson, will feature four track events -- AKA Slams -- in 2025 where signed Racers and appearing Challengers will compete head-to-head in two events over the two-days Slams. Racers will receive base compensation for competing in each Slam and can earn additional prize money based on their performances.
96 total athletes -- 48 Racers and 48 Challengers -- will compete in each Slam. Grand Slam has a prize pot of $12.6 million and the Category winners of Slam will win $100,000.
