Noah Lyles, Julien Alfred And More Headline New Balance Indoor Grand Prix
Olympic champions Noah Lyles, Julien Alfred and Grant Holloway headline the 2025 New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, along with Parker Valby and Jake Wightman.
A star-studded slate of athletes, including three Olympic champions, is headed to Boston for the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in 2025.
Meet organizers announced on Monday that Paris Olympic 100m champions Noah Lyles and Julien Alfred, along with 110m hurdles Olympic gold medalist Grant Holloway, will headline the sprints and hurdles events at the February 2 indoor event in Boston. Additionally, newly-signed New Balance star Parker Valby and 2023 1,500m world champion Jake Wightman will be among the top pros racing in the women's 3,000m and men's 1,500m.

Lyles will be racing at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix for the seventh time in his career and looking to win his fourth-straight meet title in the men's 60m. Last indoor season, Lyles finished second in the 60m at the World Indoor Championships and was part of the men's 4x400m team that took silver in Glasgow.
Alfred on the other hand will be making her New Balance Indoor Grand Prix debut, and the Paris Olympics women's 100m champion has certainly shown her strength indoors in her young pro career. Earlier this year, Alfred won the world indoor title in the women's 60m to kickstart a storybook calendar year that saw the St. Lucian native win 100m gold and 200m silver at the Paris Olympics and the Diamond League 100m title.
Similar to Lyles, Holloway will also return to Boston looking for a fourth-straight victory at the event. Holloway has not only dominated the men's 60m hurdles at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in his career, but he's proven to be the most prolific indoor short hurdler in world history. Not only does the Olympic 110m hurdles champion own the world record in the 60m hurdles, but Holloway has put down eight of the fastest nine times ever recorded in the event.
But the three Olympic champions aren't the only ones headlining the showdown in Boston. New Balance Boston's Parker Valby will kick off her professional career racing the women's 3,000m at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix and Jake Wightman will look to take home a win in the men's 1,500m after an injury-riddled 2024 season.
Valby will make her pro debut after a historic 2023-24 collegiate campaign. She won five NCAA titles during her final competition year at Florida and made the U.S. Olympic team in the women's 10,000m.
Wightman, who had to withdraw from competing in the Paris Olympics for Great Britain, will look to bounce back in 2025 and will be competing at the same distance at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix that he won a World Outdoor Championship racing in 2023.
The New Balance Grand Prix will kick off on February 2 at 4 p.m. EST.
