Leo Neugebauer Wins The 2024 Bowerman Award
Leo Neugebauer has won the 2024 Bowerman Award after his record-setting campaign this past year.
Leo Neugebauer was named the 2024 Bowerman Award Winner after his illustrious 2024 NCAA campaign.
Not only did he win the NCAA Indoor Heptathlon and the NCAA Outdoor Decathlon, but he also notched the Decathlon World Record in the discus.

At the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Neugebauer stole the spotlight with his throw of 57.70m (189-4). He went on to set the NCAA Record in the Decathlon with his collective 8961 points. That was enough to earn him the German National Record in the event as well.
During the indoor season, Neugebauer won the NCAA Indoor Heptathlon with a score of 6347 points. That moved him up to number four on the collegiate all-time list.
"It is such an honor to be a 6-7, 240 pound Bowerman Winner," Neugebauer joked after winning the award.
After his NCAA season, he went on to finish second at the Paris Olympic Games.
Earlier tonight, Parker Valby was the female Bowerman Award Winner.
