While a bulk of the Midwest gets set for even more winter weather, the Kentucky Wildcats are getting set to host a contingent of teams at the 30th Rod McCravy Memorial Invitational.

In total, 15 teams at varying levels of the NCAA and the NAIA will be in attendance, all hoping to heat up the track on a chilly Kentucky Saturday.

1. Tarik Robinson-O'Hagan (Ole Miss)

One of the best throwers in the country is heading back into the ring this weekend, taking on the shot put and weight throw double for the second consecutive meet.

In early December, Robinson-O'Hagan won both events at the Birmingham Indoor Icebreaker. The junior opened up his 2025 campaign with marks of 66-7.25 and 75-0.75, the No. 1 and No. 2 marks in the NCAA this season.

The defending indoor and outdoor shot put champion doesn't lose often in the ring, and most likely will add another win to his resume in Lexington this weekend.

2. Amaya Ugarte (Ohio State)

Last May, Ugarte finished 14th at the NCAA East Regional in Lexington, KY, just two inches shy of punching her ticket to the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

In her first competition since that less-than-ideal finish, Ugarte has a chip on her shoulder and all of the motivation in the world. The senior has soared as high as 1.89 (6-2.25) but has only cleared 1.83m (6-0) on three occasions since that PB in February 2023.

It's clear that Ugarte is one of the better jumpers in the country, and it's possible that she will take that next step this weekend.

3. Brion Stephens (Louisville)

Throughout the last few seasons, Stephens has repeatedly come so close to becoming an All-American, but a series of tough days have kept him from snagging some hardware.

Last March, the junior soared over a bar that stood at 2.23m (7-3.75), more than enough for a lifetime best and a third-place finish at the 96th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.

After finishing 11th at the NCAA Indoor Championships, Stephens made it to the outdoor championships but concluded the competition without a clearance. Stephens has proven himself as one of the best jumpers in the ACC and NCAA and will look to remind the nation this weekend.

4. Payton Phillips (Kentucky)

After ending her outdoor season with an All-American finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, Phillips didn't miss a beat in her 2025 debut, finishing second at the Louisville Opener with an indoor PB of 14-1.25. That mark is good enough for No. 4 in the NCAA as things currently stand.

Phillips also matched her outdoor PB and is now one of just five collegians in the country to have cleared 4.30m (14-1.25). Phillips is the second-ranked seed in the field, behind Gabi Leon, a former NCAA champion who finished eighth at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials last June. She has a lifetime best of 4.70m (15-5).
