The 2025 BU DMR Challenge gave fans two hours of action-packed racing as top professional and collegiate runners sped around the track at the BU Track & Tennis Center to blazing times.

In the men's mile, Crater High School's Owen Powell set the all-time high school record, clocking 3:56.66. His teammates Josiah Tostenson (3:57.47, #2 all-time) and Tayvon Kitchen (3:59.61, #7 all-time) also ran Top-10 all-time high school marks. PUMA's Sam Tanner won the race in 3:51.85.

In the men's DMR, Wake Forest ran the NCAA's #4 all-time mark in 9:17.17, and edged out University of North Carolina at the line by .02 seconds. University of Virginia set the event's NCAA record earlier in the day, running 9:14.19 at the Arkansas Qualifier.

The Oregon women won the women's DMR in 10:42.05 and claimed the NCAA Indoor Record.

In the men's 5k, Olympic 1500m gold medalist Cole Hocker and his teammate Cooper Teare sprinted to the finish line, with Hocker narrowly getting the win in 12:57.82.

Teare took second in 12:57.97 as both he and Hocker, along with Jack Rayner and Gulveer Singh, hit the world standard.
