Brooks Expands NIL Program With Four More High School Signees

Four more top high school track stars have joined Brooks' NIL program, strengthening its commitment to young athletes.

The shoe and apparel giant announced the additions of Sidi Njie (GA), Skyler Franklin (FL), Alexa Matora (WA) and Vince Recupero (WA) on Wednesday morning.

Njie, a standout sprinter and University of Georgia commit, Njie is on track to become a well-known name in the sport. As he enters the 2025 season, he holds the second-fastest returning time nationally in the 400m (45.37) and ranks sixth in the 200m (20.63).

Franklin, the reigning Brooks PR champion in the 400m is ready to extend her dominance in 2025. Hailing from Florida, Franklin holds the fastest returning girls 400m time in the country at 51.01. As she sharpens her speed in shorter sprints, where she is already ranked among the best in the 200m, Franklin remains a formidable contender for titles and records.

Matora, the defending Washington state champion in the 800m, Matora is determined to make her senior season one to remember. Set to join the University of Pennsylvania in the fall, she has been training with a renewed focus, already approaching her personal bests in early-season indoor meets as she gears up for an exciting outdoor campaign.

Recupero, took home All-American honors with an eighth-place finish at Foot Locker Nationals during the cross country season. Recupero is focused on closing out his high school career on a high note. The Washington native, who is headed to Stanford in the fall, will make his fourth appearance at the Brooks PR Invite, where he aims to deliver his strongest performance yet.

Brooks commented on the new high school NIL signings.

"NIL is an incredibly dynamic space right now, and we see the opportunity with it evolving almost daily," said Derek Lactaoen, Brooks Sports Marketing Manager for track. "At Brooks, we know that athletes have always been more than their performances, each with their own unique story to share with the world."

"At the collegiate level, we've seen cultural appetite continue to increase for more stories like those of the NIL athletes we work with, so we'll continue to expand there. And now, we're seeing that excitement and buzz extend into high school ranks. We're excited to officially enter the space with this amazing group of young athletes and continue to grow our investment into the sport in a way that builds on what we're already doing with other initiatives like the Brooks PR Invite, PR Challenge, and more."
