Oregon Wins Women's Title At 2025 NCAA Indoor Track And Field Championships

With two events to go at the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships, Oregon already had wrapped up the women’s team title.

The Ducks used a consistent performance over the two days at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia, to collect 55 team points, which was well ahead of Georgia (39) and USC (35).

The championship was the eighth overall for Oregon, but the first since 2017. The Ducks won seven times in eight years from 2010-2017 and finished as the runner-up to Arkansas in 2015.

On the way to this year’s victory, Oregon only won one individual event – the mile – but the 15 points earned in that race by juniors Wilma Nielsen (champion) and Silan Ayyildiz (fourth place) would’ve been enough for a top-15 team finish on its own.

Additional points – eight points in each discipline – came from runner-up finishes in the 60-meter dash (Jadyn Mays), 60-meter hurdles (Aaliyah McCormick), 200 meters (Mays), distance medley relay (Nielsen, Ella Clayton, Ella Nelson, Ayyildiz) and shot put (Jaida Ross).

Here’s a look at the top 10 teams overall:

  • Oregon – 55
  • Georgia – 39
  • USC – 35
  • Oklahoma – 31
  • Washington – 31
  • Arkansas – 31
  • Texas A&M – 27
  • Illinois – 25.5
  • BYU – 24
  • Texas Tech – 21.5

The two-day meet began Friday and will conclude Saturday night with the crowning of the men’s champion.

On the women’s side, Arkansas had won the last two titles, while the Texas Tech men earned top honors in 2024.
