On the final day of competition at the 2025 D1 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, USC triumphed in the men's team competition, securing the title with 39 points.

They narrowly defeated Georgia, who finished with 33 points, and Auburn, who earned 32 points.

One of the wildest moments of the meet came in the last event, the men's 4x400m relay, where Georgia emerged victorious. Texas A&M, however, faced disqualification from the event, leading to controversy and an appeal by Arkansas for a rerun, which was ultimately denied after a lengthy review.

In individual performances, Ethan Strand of North Carolina took home the men's 3000m title, while Carli Makarawu of Kentucky made history, tying the NCAA record in the men's 200m.

On the women's side, Oregon claimed the team title with 55 points while Indya Mayberry took home an action-packed 200m title.

Arkansas Wants A Rerun

Arkansas is appealing to the NCAA to have a solo rerun of the 4x400 men's relay.

It seems as though A&M will be disqualified, but they have protested that disqualification.

It's all still under review and could very well be over, with a USC men's team title, but nothing concrete yet.

Still Under Review...

The NCAA is taking their time trying to sort this out.

USC still believes they have won the Men's Team Title.

The 4x400 Relay Is Still Under Review

It seems as though USC is going to win the Men's Team Title, but the last race is still under review after a wild scenario where the anchor leg runners were not prepared for the handoff.

For now, though, USC has begun celebrating but has not been given the full distinction of being the champions yet from the officials.
