The 2025 World Athletics Indoor Track and Field Championships in Nanjing China began on March 20 in the United States and March 21 in China. 

The first session of the three days included the start of the Pentathlon and the finals in the Men’s Triple Jump. Andy Díaz Hernández took the world lead and won gold in the Men's Triple Jump with a leap of 17.8.

Throughout today's second session of action, we wrote moment-by-moment updates of the action. Re-live day one, session two below.

Notably, American's earned two bronze medals during session two. Chase Jackson finished third in the shot put with her throw of 20.06m. She nearly stole second with a last throw effort, but missed the marked by .01m. Canadian Sarah Mitton took gold in that event.

Then in the women's pentathlon, Taliyah Brooks held on for bronze with her 4669 points.

Other notable finishers for Team USA include Eli Kosiba. He finished fourth in the men's high jump and narrowly missed bettering his NCAA DII record.

Men's 60 Meter Final

Jeremiah Azu wins his first individual global medal. Azu won bronze in the Paris Olympics as part of Team Great Britain's 4 x 100m relay team. American Ronnie Baker pulled up with what seemed to be an injury and finished sixth. Eloy Benetiz who had set a Peurto Rican National Record in the first round fell early in the race and did not finish.

Officials decided to go straight to the semi-final round in the women's 400m due to illnesses causing several athletes to withdraw. 

Training partners American Alexis Holmes and Great Britain's Amber Anning are the favorites in the event. Anning was disqualified in the event at the European Indoor Championships due to stepping on the line
