Another Olympic podium rematch is set for the 2025 Prefontaine Classic, with meet organizers announcing on Thursday that Ryan Crouser, Joe Kovacs and Rajindra Campbell will enter the ring in the men's shot put at the 2025 Pre Classic on July 5.

Last week, organizers shared that Tara Davis-Woodhall, Malaika Mihambo and Jasmine Moore would compete in the long jump in another podium rematch.

In the last 10 years, Crouser and Kovacs have each won the Pre Classic four times.

Crouser has a knack for performing well at Hayward Field. He has thrown five of his 10 furthest throws at Hayward Field. Just last June, Crouser won the U.S. Olympic Trials before heading to the Olympic Finals and winning the 2024 Olympic Games.

In 2024, he also won the World Indoor Championship before scoring Wanda Diamond League wins in Rome, and Zurich. He is a four-time Pre Classic champion.

Kovacs returns to the Pre Classic after winning in 2024 and 2023. He owns four Pre Classic titles, five World Outdoor Championship medals and two Diamond League trophies. He is also a three-time national champion.

In 2024, Kovacs was second at the U.S. Olympic Trials and second in Paris. He scored Wanda Diamond League wins at the Pre Classic and Silesia.

Jamaica's Rajindra Campbell returns to the Pre Classic after finishing third at the 2024 Paris Olympics. In 2024, Campbell threw eight of his top 10 marks ever. His bronze in Paris was his first ever Olympic medal.
