BYU standout Casey Clinger is officially turning professional- and he's  joining Brooks to launch the next phase of his running career.

The announcement comes on the heels of a standout performance at The TEN, where Clinger clocked a massive personal best of 27:11.00 in the 10,000m. That time not only placed him fifth all-time in NCAA history, but also shattered a 40-year-old BYU school record.

Though still a collegiate athlete during that race, Clinger has already tested himself against pro-level competition, notably finishing fifth at the U.S. Olympic Trials last year—proving he’s ready to take the next step.

“I’m excited to join Team Brooks as a professional runner,” Clinger said. “I’ve always been a huge fan of the brand and everything it stands for. Back in high school, the Brooks Launch was my go-to trainer. I'm incredibly grateful for Brooks' support as I head into this next chapter of my running career. I’m looking forward to chasing big goals and making the most of the years ahead.”

Clinger will remain in Provo, continuing to train under longtime BYU coach Ed Eyestone, whose guidance has helped him become one of the top distance talents in the NCAA.

With Brooks’ backing and a strong foundation already in place, Clinger is poised to make a serious impact on the professional scene.
