It's about time for the 2025 Wanda Diamond League to begin the 15th season, with the opener in Xiamen, China on April 26.

This will be the first of 15 events taking place all over the country, and the season will end on Aug. 27. It features some of the best track and field athletes in the world looking to add more milestones to their careers and young, hungry newcomers seeking a career-defining moment.

Multiple winners across the many events at the Diamond League have included all-time athletes such as Usain Bolt, Noah Lyles, Shericka Jackson, Allyson Felix, and more.

Before the season starts, let's review the past champions from the Diamond League from 2010-2014 in every event.

Diamond League Qualifications Standards

Athletes from 32 different disciplines will compete for points at the 14 series meetings to qualify for the league final, which will be held at Weltklasse Zurich on August 27-28.
Whenever there is a tie, the athlete with the best legal performance of the season gets the higher rank.
Then, athletes who qualify via the road to the final compete to be crowned the Diamond League champion.
The throw and horizontal jump events are used in a new "Final 3" format in all the series meetings but not the final.

Diamond League Prize Money In 2025

The 2025 Wanda Diamond League series will distribute a record $9.24 million in total prize money, with $500,000 allocated to each of the regular season meets, including an increased payout for select Diamond+ Disciplines at each meeting.

For the season opener in Xiamen, the Diamond+ Disciplines will be 5000m Women, High Jump Women, 110m Hurdles Men, and Pole Vault Men.
