Florida Relays Highlights
The 2011 Pepsi Florida Relays saw some terrific performances and hot times, particularly in the sprints. As anticipated, some of the best performances in this young season occurred Friday and Saturday, with many of the meet's top sprinters looking to compete again next week at the Texas Relays.
Below are some key races and top performances highlighted. The boys and men's 4x100 are must views, as well as the women's 400.

FRIDAY
Men's 100 - Jeff Demps, Florida football and track star, runs 10.07 (wind-aided) in a dominating performance. VIDEO
Men's 400 Hurdles - Terrific finish as Leslie Murray of Delaware State wins in 50.62 seconds, as three collegians beat Johnny Dutch (51.09) out of the 2nd heat. VIDEO
Men's 800 - Disappointing when Oliver didn't race, but stacked field made for great race. Joel Brown of Adidas wins in 13.55. VIDEO
Men's 1500 - Freshman Isaac Presson of North Carolina wins in 3:42.59, beating a deep field (12 guys under 3:48) VIDEO
Men's Steeplechase - Matt Cleaver of Georgia runs 8:45.76, winning by 16 seconds. Great performance in what we assume is his opener. VIDEO
Women's 400 - Francena McCorory sets meet record in 50.50, with a terrific final 100 meters. She pulls away from Adidas teammate Shana Cox down the stretch. VIDEO
Boys 100 - Marvin Bracy, fastest this year over 100 meters, misses Jeff Demps' meet record of 10.17, but dominates race in 10.26, which is a season's best for Bracy. VIDEO
Girls 100 - Octavious Freeman's 11.29 would have won the University section! The fastest girl in the country pulls away from the field and obliterates meet record. VIDEO
SATURDAY
Men's 4x100 - Pure Athletics wins in a great finish, just off meet record in 38.74. Florida State just edges out host Florida 38.87 to 38.91. VIDEO
Women's 4x100 - Speed Divas set meet record in 42.75, beating Central Florida (43.53). VIDEO
Boys 4x400 - RACE OF THE MEET! Miami Northwestern and St. Thomas Aquinas tie, but hundredths reveal Miami NW as the narrow winners, as both teams run meet records of 3:11.49! Unbelievable finish and a candidate for this week's Tasty Race of the Week. VIDEO
