Daegu 2011 World Championships not only on www.iaaf.org

As the world of track and field is converging towards Daegu, Korea’s third largest city which will play host to the IAAF World Championships from 27 August to 4 September, fans around the world will be treated to the largest and most extensive online coverage in the history of the competition.

A newly designed Daegu section has been launched on www.iaaf.org and will become the official landing page for athletics’ aficionados around the globe as soon as the World Championships begin next Saturday 27 August.  

The IAAF Daegu website will offer exclusive coverage of all the action and much more with Live Results, a Live English Blog, Previews and Reports of each of the 47 events on the Athletics programme, an exclusive athlete feature of each of the Daegu Gold Medallists as well as flash interviews and outstanding photographs provided by our partners Getty Images.

In addition, the multimedia section of the website will also showcase Live Radio coverage of all the evening sessions and TV highlights.

Social Networks – Play the IAAF Fantasy Game and win a Samsung Digital Camera

In addition to its “traditional” coverage of the IAAF World Championships, the IAAF will also be visible on the various Online Social Networks.

Last but not least the IAAF Fantasy Game will launch a special Daegu edition next Monday 22 August which will last the duration of the World Championships at the end of which the IAAF Fantasy Game winner will be announced. The overall winner will be presented with a Samsung Digital Camera and will be featured on www.iaaf.org!
