Dix Says Goodbye

In the heats of the 200 meters, Wallace Spearmon led the way winning his heat in an event leading 20.17. However, the big news of the event is that Walter Dix is out of the event with an injury that he sustained in the semi-finals of the 100 meters. With Dix pulling out, his hopes of making a second US Olympic Team are gone. Dix, the Bronze medalist in both the 100 and 200 at the Beijing Olympics, will be a huge loss for Team USA as they go up against a strong Jamaican squad in London.
