The Meyo Mile was established in 1988 and has seen numerous sub-4:00 marks over the years. The last four years have seen eight guys go under the legendary barrier. Will the streak stay alive this year?
The mile is named after Ray Meyo, who donated all of the money to build the track at the University of Notre Dame.
Head coach Jim Piane told UND.com, "A runner went below four minutes in the very first Meyo Mile in 1988, and ever since then the track has been known as a great place to come and run the mile."
