2012 Olympic silver medalist Nijel Amos will reportedly not race the 800-meter run at the 2013 Prefontaine Classic this weekend. The race was slated to feature all the 800-meter finalists from London before Amos withdrew due to an injury. He is no longer listed on the start list for Saturday.
His official Facebook page noted a muscle strain on April 22nd that did not allow him to finish a race. He specified a quad injury in his interview with RunAfricaDotCom. His training only started back up three weeks ago.
