adidas Suspends Contract with Tyson Gay

adidas has suspended its contract with Tyson Gay after the three-time world sprint champion and American 100m record holder failed an out-of-competition drug test.
“We are shocked by these recent allegations, and even if we presume his innocense until proven otherwise, our contract with Tyson is currently suspended,” an adidas spokesman said.
Gay has been with adidas since 2005. The German sportswear company has an agreement with its athletes to terminate a contract “... if the athlete is found guilty of the possession or use of drugs or any other prohibited substance by the relevant governing sports body having jurisdiction over the athlete.”
"I have to go over everything with USADA first," Gay told the Associated Press in a phone interview. "I will take whatever punishment I get like a man. I do realize and respect what I put in my body and it is my responsibility.
“I'm going to be honest with USADA, about everything, everybody I've been with, every supplement I've ever taken, every company I've ever dealt with, everything.”
