The official Butler Projections for the NCAA XC Championships
Below are the official Butler Projections for the 2013 Men's and Women's NCAA Cross Country Championships. While we think the Butler Projections are brilliant in both methodology and accuracy, we have to add a disclaimer to this year's men's race.
Since the projections are calculated according to "who beat whom," the fact that Oklahoma State ran so controlled at their regional meet ruined any chance of us trying to predict the meet perfectly. Still, both us and the system's creator James Butler think that Colorado is close to NAU with BYU right behind.
In the other race, the women's projections look to be accurate. Providence should win, but don't sleep on Arkansas.
See for yourself.
