On Thursday afternoon, American marathoner Shalane Flanagan tweeted a photo of her new uniform kit ahead of the Boston Marathon. This included a surprise for many track and field fans.
Honored to represent our newly named group, Bowerman Track Club(BTC). Love being part of something bigger than myself pic.twitter.com/ziQ0XW6ICi

Since February 2013, coach Jerry Schumacher and his training group parted ways with the Oregon Track Club and remained an independent Nike team without a new club name.
After being unnamed for a year, the club has rebranded as the Nike Bowerman Track Club. The group is rebranding along with the Bowerman Athletic Club to form the new team. The Bowerman Athletic Club was started in 2003, which is why “03” is on the team logo.
Flotrack initially noticed the new logo at the Boston Marathon media center as we observed the John Hancock Elite Team Uniform Guide and tweeted out a photo. Chris Cook of the Bowerman Athletic Club Elite team later confirmed the news on Twitter.
Flanagan will debut the new uniform at the 2014 Boston Marathon on Monday morning.
