The world’s fastest beer milers are taking their talents to Austin’s fastest track.

Circuit of the Americas will now serve as host of the inaugural Flotrack Beer Mile World Championships on Wednesday, Dec. 3. The races were previously scheduled for Yellow Jacket Stadium.

Flotrack.com’s live broadcast of the event will begin at 6 pm CT.

The first purposely-built Grand Prix facility in the United States, Circuit of the Americas is a race venue hosting some of the most prestigious sporting events in the country, including the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, the Red Bull MotoGP of the Americas and the X Games.

“The Circuit of the Americas provides the perfect backdrop for our athletes to do what they set out here to do, win the World Championships,” Flotrack co-founder Mark Floreani said.

“Ultimately, we ended up in a world-renowned venue to host our inaugural Flotrack Beer Mile World Championships. The Circuit of the Americas has been a great partner as we pivoted to secure a new location for the event.”

No changes have been made to the schedule. Doors will open at 5 pm CT with competition kicking off with the first Open heat at 5:35 pm CT. The Kill Cliff 4x400m industry/Austin tech relay will be held at 6:40 pm CT. The women’s elite race will begin at 7:25 pm CT followed by the men’s elite race at 7:45 pm CT.
