RESULTS: Boston Marathon 2015

The 2015 Boston Marathon features some of the world's top talent. Last year's champion, Meb Keflezighi, will look to repeat his title that marked one of America's greatest sporting accomplishments of 2014. It will not be an easy task, however. Meb will go against the likes of Lelisa Desisa, Wesley Korir, and a plethora of East African talent that will be trying to dethrone the American Marathon King of 2014. Olympian Dathan Ritzenhein, Nick Arciniaga, Fernando Cabada, and Matt Tegenkamp highlight the other top Americans in the field.

What Meb is to the men's race, may be Shalane Flanagan to the women's field. The hometown hero from Massachusetts, Flanagan is looking to break the thirty year draught of American women victories at the Boston Marathon. After finishing fourth in 2014, Flanagan is coming off a personal best 2:21:14 at the 2014 Berlin Marathon and is putting all of her chips in this basket to win Boston. Desiree Linden, who finished second in 2011, is in the best shape of her life and will also be vying for that top American spot. Ethiopians Buzunesh Deba and Mare Dibaba look to be the frontrunners in keeping this streak alive, though. Can an American woman win the 2015 Boston Marathon? Stay tuned to find out.
